There are a couple of other guys who’ve inspired some books that I really want to meet. Guys like Moses, Daniel, David, Paul, Peter, James and a host of others. I look forward to the day when you and I are face-to-face with them, and with Jesus and God our Father. At that point I know there will be no need for any more pictures, any more words or any more explanations. But in the meantime, I am so grateful to God that He has given us His Holy Spirit and these other wonderful Christian brothers to help us, encourage us and equip us along the way as we fulfill our purpose for this life. Thank you Lord. To God be the glory!
Erwin McManus’ book Seizing Your Divine Moment was the definitive life-changing book in my life. It opened my eyes, fired me up, and focused me, in a laser-like way, to make sure that I had my eye on the prize… God, His kingdom and His purpose for my life. I will always be grateful to Erwin for the inspirational messages I heard him speak at Promise Keepers and for all his books. I don’t know of any single author who has ever impacted me more greatly than he has. Erwin is an out-of-the-box thinker, a visionary, an innovator, who lets you see into his very soul as he walks this earth and lives for the kingdom of God. It’s my hope and prayer that my books have even a fraction of the impact on people in the world that his have. That’s why I wrote them. Because I saw the tremendous impact others’ books were having on me. And I wanted to be sure that I had the opportunity to bless other people the same way.
Patrick Morley, one of my heroes, wrote the book Man in the Mirror. This book tremendously impacted and influenced my life, got me focused and brought me closer to God. Getting the opportunity to meet Pat Morley and speak at the same conference as him was a tremendous blessing for me. I’ve been so blessed by getting to speak to so many thousands of Christian men who are hungry for the Word of God. He’s a selfless brother who works tirelessly on behalf of the Lord. His faith and his life are an inspiration to me.
Charles Carrin is a dear brother in the Lord. I am so grateful he chose to invest his time in my life and ministry. Equipping me, teaching me, and sharing with me the many experiences and truth’s that God has shown him in his life. His book The Edge of Glory was another one of those life-changing books for me, which literally took the scales off my eyes and helped me see the mighty power of God. I was able to see first-hand many, many lives touched and transformed by his ministry, a ministry that depends solely on the Holy Spirit and power of God. Charles is the sweetest, kindest man you’ll ever meet, and even in his 80’s is still on fire for the Lord. I hope and pray I can finish my race strong like Charles is. It’s so awesome to see him still impacting people for the kingdom of God, still writing, still preaching, still sharing his message of healing and hope through God’s power and Spirit. Charles is all about the transforming power of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit working through Charles is an undeniable fact and millions throughout the world have been touched by it.
Over the last 30 years he has helped encourage and inspire thousands of people to live happier and more meaningful lives.
